- New AYUSH app to enable online OPD bookings, reducing hospital queues and improving patient convenience
- Developed in collaboration with IIT Kanpur to ensure robust technology, security, and wider public reach
- Future updates to introduce tele-consultation, digital health records, and online reports for seamless care access
The Uttar Pradesh government is set to launch a new AYUSH mobile application aimed at making traditional healthcare services easier, faster, and more accessible for the public. Developed in collaboration with IIT Kanpur, the app will bring key AYUSH services to users with just a few clicks.
The app will allow patients to book OPD appointments online at AYUSH hospitals and wellness centers across the state. This move will help people avoid long waiting lines, save time, and reduce crowding at healthcare facilities. Officials said the initiative will be especially helpful for senior citizens, women, and patients living in remote areas.
The platform will provide detailed and easy-to-understand information on Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, Siddha, and Homoeopathy. Users will be able to explore available treatments, medicines, doctor profiles, and nearby AYUSH hospitals and dispensaries. The app will also share health tips and wellness guidance rooted in traditional practices.
In addition to medical services, the AYUSH app will include information on government schemes and programs designed to promote alternative medicine systems in the state. This feature aims to improve awareness and encourage wider adoption of AYUSH-based healthcare.
Officials said the app has been designed to be user-friendly, secure, and reliable, with strong safeguards in place to protect patient data. The government sees the digital platform as a step toward transparent and inclusive healthcare delivery.

The initiative reflects Uttar Pradesh’s push to combine traditional medicine with modern technology to improve healthcare access statewide.
