Delhi Unveils India's First AI-Powered Ultra-Fast MRI at Mahajan Imaging Dwarka

- Mahajan Imaging’s Dwarka centre launches the Excel 3T scanner, cutting scan times and boosting precision.
- Offers imaging, lab medicine, and genetic testing with specialisation in cardiac, neuro, and musculoskeletal imaging.
- Features eco-friendly infrastructure, AI-enabled technologies, and comfort-focused interiors.
In a significant leap for diagnostic healthcare, Lieutenant Governor of Delhi, Vinai Kumar Saxena, inaugurated Mahajan Imaging & Labs’ newest centre in Dwarka, marking the debut of India’s first ultra-fast AI-powered MRI scanner Excel 3T.
The state-of-the-art facility, located in Southwest Delhi, integrates advanced diagnostic services including imaging, laboratory medicine, and genetic testing, offering a comprehensive and accessible healthcare experience for residents of Dwarka and surrounding areas.
At the heart of the centre is the Excel 3T MRI, a revolutionary machine that delivers up to 50% better signal-to-noise ratio, offering clearer, high-resolution scans in shorter durations. Cardiac MRIs that once took over an hour can now be completed in 30-40 minutes. Powered by advanced AI technologies, including real-time motion correction and contactless respiratory tracking, the scanner ensures enhanced precision and greater comfort particularly for children, elderly patients, and individuals with claustrophobia. An immersive in-bore experience and smart automation further elevate patient care.
The facility also provides deep specialisation in cardiac imaging, neuroimaging, and musculoskeletal scans, aligning with the rising demand for precision-based diagnostics.
Designed with a patient-first and eco-conscious philosophy, the space uses locally sourced materials, ample natural lighting, and calming interiors. It also features energy-efficient systems and water reuse technology, setting a benchmark in sustainable healthcare infrastructure.

Beyond MRI, the centre boasts cutting-edge equipment such as a 128-slice cardiac CT scanner, Full Field Digital Mammography, 3D/4D AI-powered Ultrasound, Digital X-Ray, Dexa BMD, Echocardiography, Holter, and Pulmonary Function Test (PFT) systems. Many of these are AI-enabled, ensuring high-speed, accurate diagnostics.
With this launch, Delhi takes a leading role in the future of AI-driven, patient-centric diagnostics in India.
