Aster DM Healthcare has announced Rs 120 crore investment to establish five advanced Oncology Radiation LINAC Centers across India under its CSR initiative. The program aims to provide free or heavily subsidized radiation therapy to cancer patients from economically weaker sections who cannot afford life-saving treatment.
The first center will be set up in Wayanad, Kerala, serving the wider Malabar region and nearby areas like Gudalore and Gudalpet. The remaining centers will be developed in Bengaluru and other cities over the next three years, based on local community needs and clinical feasibility.
Azad Moopen, Founder and Chairman of Aster DM Healthcare, said, “By establishing five state-of-the-art radiation therapy centers, we aim to bridge gaps in oncology services and ensure timely treatment closer to home”. The initiative prioritizes patients who had to discontinue treatment due to financial difficulties.

These centers will operate under Aster Volunteers, the company’s global CSR program that focuses on community health improvement and socio-economic development. The move is expected to make high-quality cancer treatment accessible to thousands of underprivileged patients and reduce barriers to critical care.
This initiative strengthens Aster DM Healthcare’s commitment to social responsibility and addresses the growing need for affordable cancer care in India.
