  • Hanahealth and South Korea’s Kai Health introduce AI based embryo tool to Indian IVF labs
  • Vita Embryo aims to improve IVF success rates and reduce treatment cycles
  • The tool is already in use at Nova IVF and expanding to more clinics soon

In a move set to transform fertility treatment in India, Hanahealth, the IVF division of DSS Imagetech, has partnered with South Korea’s Kai Health to bring an advanced AI powered embryo selection tool to IVF labs across the country. The tool, called Vita Embryo, is designed to support IVF specialists with more accurate, consistent embryo assessments, leading to higher chances of successful pregnancies.

In India, where IVF demand is rising rapidly, this partnership marks a significant step forward in improving treatment outcomes. Vita Embryo uses artificial intelligence to analyze subtle features in embryos that are often missed by the human eye, helping doctors select the healthiest ones for implantation. Studies show the tool can improve embryo selection accuracy by up to 25% compared to traditional evaluation methods.

“This collaboration is part of our mission to elevate clinical standards in IVF through technology”, said A.R. Ghatak, Vice President of Hanahealth. “With Vita Embryo, we’re empowering embryologists to make smarter, data driven decisions, reduce trial-and-error, and give hopeful parents a better chance”.

Dr. Hyejun Lee, CEO of Kai Health, added, “India is one of the fastest growing IVF markets globally. Our AI tool gives clinicians a more reliable way to assess embryo viability and improve patient outcomes”.

Embryo selection in IVF can be highly subjective, depending heavily on the embryologist’s experience. By adding AI into the process, this new tool helps reduce uncertainty and brings greater confidence to both doctors and patients.

Vita Embryo is already in use at Nova IVF Fertility, India’s fastest growing IVF chain with 120 clinics, and is expected to roll out to more centers in the coming months. Certified as a medical device in India and other countries, the tool is part of DSS Imagetech’s broader strategy to bring cutting edge healthcare innovations to Indian patients.
