After earning her MBBS and Master’s degree in Obstetrics & Gynaecology at NTR University of Health Sciences, and working for three years, Dr. Narmada set sail to UK in 2003, where she strengthened her qualifications with four more degrees – MRCOG, DFRSH, PGCertME and later FRCOG from Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists and The University of Dundee. Having chiselled her experience during her 13 plus years long tenure at the Royal Bolton Hospital-Manchester, and Centre for Reproductive Health, Warrington (where she attained her fertility training from Dr. Luciano Nardo), Dr. Narmada returned to India in March 2017 to embark on her own venture.
Her husband Dr. Venugopal aided her with the infrastructure aspects and helped kickstart the ground works six months prior her arrival, where as her friend Dr. Sri Sailesh guided her with planning and procurement of the equipment. As her innovative spirit and compassionate service has propelled the patients to spread the word like wildfire, Genesis’ patient flow has soared an annual average of a whopping 250 percent over the past two years. The centre foresees that this trend will continue and is all set to serve them with its current setup. “Our present infrastructure and staff will allow me to cater to double the number of clients we’re serving now. Aiming to touch as much lives as she can, Dr. Narmada currently levies her interest primarily in building a training centre by 2020. She intends to create training modules on par with UK standards and assess the students’ competencies thoroughly post course completion, so that they can apply their learnings in their practice and not just attend the course for the sake of certificate.
