Satish Marukurthi,CEOThe Indian CRO market has grown at a CAGR of 5.51% during the period between 2017 and 2020 and was valued at USD 956.8 million in 2020. The market is further expected to reach USD 1,883.0 million by 2027 with a CAGR of 10.75%. Among the factors contributing to the growth of the Indian CRO space are the rapidly growing field of oncology studies, the booming pharmaceutical industry, and various initiatives from the Indian government.

However, over the past two decades, with more systematic functioning of DCGI and various governmental initiatives regarding clinical studies new opportunities related to the industry has been blooming giving birth to new verticals like SMOs. We always reverse calculate our budget, efforts and scope. We always tailor make our proposals and our teams to suit the need of the Indian clients

Satish Marukurthi, CEO of Croissance Clinical Research adds, “We always reverse calculate our budget, efforts and scope. We always tailor make our proposals and our teams to suit the need of the Indian clients. Because in India, people wanted to do something but never had revenues to do it. So, they could not go to big CROs because they're charging millions. I wanted to fill that gap. And to some extent, we are successful in that area. Our aim was to be the supporting industry that empowers the Indian pharma segment with good team and quality data. Our philosophy has always been to be flexible and match the client's needs”.

b>Vision for the Future
Mr. Satish Marukurthi further adds, “We are currently conducting a COVID vaccine study from a large US multinational and we already have hired employers for it in India, Mozambique and Nepal. So, the greatest achievement for us is starting our operations in Africa, with our own office and own staff. And in addition, we have started full fledged operations in Nepal. So, these are the two new countries we are venturing into, and I am looking forward to expand into other Asia Pacific regions like Singapore, Sri Lanka and Malaysia.”
