Siemens Healthineers in India has launched its latest awareness campaign, ‘Knowing is Comforting’, to help patients manage Scanxiety, the fear or stress people often feel before, during, or after diagnostic scans like MRI, CT, PET CT, and mammography.

The campaign uses a series of informative videos to explain medical imaging in a simple, relatable way. Available in English and nine regional languages, including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, and more, the videos aim to reach people across diverse communities in India.

By breaking down complex scan technologies into everyday language, Siemens wants to reassure patients and encourage them to feel confident and informed about their medical procedures.

Hariharan Subramanian, MD of Siemens Healthcare Pvt. Ltd., said the company’s mission is to make healthcare more accessible and trusted. “Early and accurate diagnosis is key to better treatment. This campaign empowers patients and caregivers with the right knowledge to face scans without fear”, he said.

Pranav Patil, Head of Communications at Siemens Healthineers India, added, “We want patients to feel comforted and informed. Today’s diagnostic imaging is safer, more advanced, and more patient friendly than ever”.
