Setup in December 2019 and operating since March 2020, the unit islocated ina Special Economic Zone at Bengaluru
To further expandits competencies in digital technology, Siemens Healthineers established a new legal entity, Siemens Healthineers India LLP in December2019 to house its digitalization activities. The entity had been set up as a unit in a Special Economic Zone at Bengaluru.
In its first month of operation, March 2020, the organization ramped up quickly to host close to 100 digital talents working on digital technologies such as data analytics, artificial intelligence, immersive technologies like augmented and virtual reality, user experience, and cybersecurity. These digital technologies are expected to playa significant role in empowering healthcare service providers to deliver precision diagnosis and treatment besides improving the clinical workflows.
With the completion of one-year anniversary of establishing the legal entity, Siemens Healthineers LLP has become a critical digital hub for its global partners. It contributes to majority of the digital offerings of Siemens Healthineers and in the meantime has almost doubledits workforce.According to Manoj Prasad, SVP and Designated Partner of Siemens Healthineers India LLP, “India and specifically Bangalore continues to be one of the major hub for sourcing talent in the digital space with ability to scale quicky and at a competitive cost position.
