  • New accelerator targets early interventions in maternal and child health during the first 1,000 days.
  • Focuses on empowering mothers, caregivers, and frontline health workers in underserved areas.
  • Winning innovations will be scaled on the ground through partnerships for real world healthcare impact.

Reckitt, in partnership with PATH and the Centre for Health Research and Innovation (CHRI), has launched the Dettol Banega Swasth India, Maternal and Child Health Tech Accelerator. The mission is to improve early healthcare outcomes for mothers and children in India.

This healthcare focused initiative centers on the critical first 1,000 days of life from pregnancy to a child's second birthday. A period that significantly shapes a child’s long term health and development. The accelerator aims to support impactful, technology driven healthcare solutions that can strengthen the capabilities of caregivers, frontline health workers, and local health systems.

The program is tailored for underserved communities and will span 500 aspirational blocks across India, ensuring that innovations reach areas where maternal and child health challenges are most pressing. By identifying scalable solutions, the accelerator will help close health gaps and promote timely, quality care.

Selected innovators with product ready technologies will pitch their solutions during a two day event on 15th and 16th September, before a jury of healthcare leaders, policymakers, and public health experts. The top five innovations will be awarded on 2nd October during the launch of Dettol Banega Swasth India Season 12.

More than just awards, these innovations will move from concept to implementation. In collaboration with Plan India, the winning ideas will be piloted and scaled to improve real life outcomes, from reducing maternal mortality to enhancing newborn care and nutritional support.

This initiative aligns with India’s vision of building a resilient, tech enabled healthcare ecosystem focused on prevention, access, and equity. By supporting innovation where it matters most, Reckitt and its partners are investing in a healthier future for every mother and child.
