Rajasthan to Hire 15,000 More Healthcare Workers to Strengthen Medical Services

In a major boost to the public health system, the Rajasthan Health Department has launched a recruitment drive to fill 15,000 new healthcare posts across the state. Of these, around 12,000 positions are under the National Health Mission (NHM), while 1,535 posts are for AYUSH officers, according to officials.

Health Minister Gajendra Singh Khimsar said the department has set a goal to recruit for nearly 50,000 positions, with over 35,000 appointments already completed. The ongoing recruitment for 15,000 more posts will be finalized soon.

The department also plans to send a proposal to the state government seeking approval for 166 allopathy medical officer posts and 1,578 positions for various roles, including block health supervisors, counsellors, psychologists, epidemiologists, district coordinators, and quality managers.

Officials said recruitment has already been completed for over 20,000 non-gazetted posts, 10,657 NHM roles, 1,700 medical officers, and 2,300 posts in the medical education department. Appointments have been issued for more than 28,000 candidates, with postings underway for the rest.

So far, appointments have been made for a wide range of roles, including nursing officers, lab technicians, pharmacists, dental technicians, community health officers, and female health workers. Recruitment is also ongoing for rehabilitation workers, physiotherapist assistants, hospital administrators, data entry operators, and other key medical and support roles.
