KIMS Unveils AI-Driven Early Warning System for Continuous Patient Monitoring
- KIMS launches an AI-based system for real-time monitoring of in-patients
- Wireless wearables send instant alerts on changes in patient conditions
- Technology aims to improve patient safety, faster response, and clinical efficiency
KIMS Hospital in Hyderabad has rolled out an AI-powered Early Warning System designed to monitor in-patients round the clock and alert medical teams in real time. The hospital announced the launch, calling it a major step toward improving patient safety and clinical decision-making.
The new system uses wireless wearable devices that track key vital signs continuously. Any sudden change in a patient’s condition is detected immediately and triggers alerts to doctors and nurses, allowing them to respond quickly and deliver timely interventions. This approach reduces delays, enhances coordination between teams, and helps prevent complications.
Dr. Bhaskar Rao, CMD of KIMS Group of Hospitals, said the AI-based monitoring solution empowers clinicians with uninterrupted visibility into patient conditions. “This system allows our medical teams to make better point-of-care decisions right at the bedside”, he said.

KIMS has integrated the technology developed by healthtech company Lifesigns into its routine clinical workflows. Hospital leaders said the adoption of AI-enabled monitoring is expected to significantly raise care standards by enhancing safety, improving treatment efficiency, and providing patients with a more reassuring and streamlined hospital experience.
The Early Warning System is part of KIMS’ broader effort to bring advanced digital tools into patient care and strengthen its commitment to quality and technology-driven healthcare.
