  • IHH Healthcare announces major India expansion under its new brand identity.
  • Fortis and Gleneagles to lead growth with new hospitals and strategic partnerships.
  • Group focuses on improving care quality, accessibility, and operational efficiency

Global healthcare giant IHH Healthcare has revealed its new brand identity and outlined a bold expansion plan in India, reinforcing its long term commitment to the region. The company will strengthen its footprint by adding 2,000 new hospital beds by 2028, building on its current network of 5,000 beds across 35 hospitals in 11 Indian states.

The expansion will be driven by IHH’s flagship Indian brands, Fortis Healthcare and Gleneagles Healthcare India, through a combination of greenfield projects and strategic collaborations. A key step in this direction is Fortis’ recent agreement with the Ekana Group to manage a 550 bed super specialty hospital near Gomti Nagar, Lucknow.

The announcements were made as IHH launched its new brand identity, marking a major milestone in its multi-year transformation journey that began in 2024. The rebrand reflects IHH’s push to become a future ready, integrated healthcare provider.

To celebrate this milestone, IHH hosted its first FutureHealth. Now leadership conference in Kuala Lumpur, bringing together over 300 leaders from healthcare, government, and business sectors to shape the future of care.

Dr. Dzulkefly Ahmad, Malaysia’s Health Minister, said, “Private providers like IHH do more than deliver care. They create jobs, spur innovation, and reduce burden on public hospitals by offering faster, specialist services”.

Internationally, IHH continues to grow in markets like Turkey, Singapore, and North Asia, operating under brands like Mount Elizabeth, Parkway, Pantai, and Acibadem. In Turkey, the group recently added three hospitals and six dental clinics through its acquisition of Bayindir Hospitals, and opened new facilities in Kartal and Maslak.

With a focus on affordability, quality, and access, IHH is also expanding ambulatory care centres in Hong Kong and Shanghai, bringing non-acute, patient centric services closer to home.

Through its refreshed brand, expanding network, and strategic vision, IHH aims to build a more accessible, innovative, and resilient healthcare ecosystem both in India and globally.
