The government has introduced the 'myCGHS' app for iOS, aimed at offering Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) beneficiaries access to electronic health records and essential healthcare services. Launched, the app provides a range of functionalities including online appointment booking and cancellation, accessing reports from CGHS labs, checking medical reimbursement claim status, and locating nearby wellness centers and empanelled hospitals, labs, and dental units.

Union Health Secretary Apurva Chandra highlighted the app's significance in advancing healthcare services for CGHS beneficiaries, stating that it grants them convenient access to essential healthcare features. This initiative aligns with the government's overarching vision of utilizing technology to improve healthcare quality and accessibility.

The app incorporates robust security features such as 2-factor authentication and mPIN functionality to ensure the confidentiality and integrity of users' data, as per health ministry officials. This move signifies a significant step forward for CGHS in embracing digital solutions to cater to the evolving healthcare needs of beneficiaries, ultimately enhancing their overall healthcare experience.
