Dr Pranav Ghodgaonkar , NeurosurgeonIndia’s healthcare ecosystem has made significant progress over the past two decades, particularly in the field of specialized surgeries. Neurological disorders, once considered difficult to treat outside major metros, are now being addressed with increasing sophistication in Tier-II cities like Indore.

With rising life expectancy and lifestyle-related complications, more patients are seeking advanced brain and spine care. This is where highly trained neurosurgeons like Dr. Pranav Ghodgaonkar are redefining the possibilities of care by combining clinical excellence with empathy and global best practices.

Dr. Pranav Ghodgaonkar began his medical journey at MGM Medical College, Indore, acquiring his MBBS. He further went for his MS in General Surgery at Medical College Baroda and MS University, Baroda. He acquired his M.Ch in Neurosurgery at Grant Medical College, Mumbai University, in 2006, ranking second in the university. His passion for surgical precision led him for further training overseas. In 2008, he took a fellowship in advanced microneurosurgery at Fujita Health University, Japan.

He then completed the WFNS Fellowship in Skull Base and Neuro-Endoscopy at the University of Tübingen, Germany. He also did a fellowship in neuro-oncology at the University of Valparaiso, Chile, and earned a diploma in neurosurgery from the University of Helsinki, Finland. This combination of global exposure has impacted his advanced and refined style of neurosurgical management. Dr. Pranav Ghodgaonkar is currently the Lead Consultant Neurosurgery at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, Indore, with nearly two decades of experience to his credit.

He has successfully clipped over 150 aneurysms and performed numerous cervical and lumbar disc surgeries.

He is especially skilled in treating craniovertebral junction abnormalities, traumatic brain injuries, and degenerative spine conditions in geriatric patients. His deep anatomical understanding and surgical precision have consistently translated into high success rates and faster recovery for his patients.
At the core of Dr. Pranav Ghodgaonkar’s approach is a belief in transparent communication and interdisciplinary teamwork. He takes time to explain each condition, procedure, and outcome clearly to patients and their families, helping them make informed decisions.
