Apollo Hospitals to Operate 24/7 Medical Facilities at Navi International Airport

Apollo Hospitals is gearing up to provide full-time healthcare services at the upcoming Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA). The hospital group has signed an MoU with Navi Mumbai International Airport Pvt Ltd (NMIAL) to set up six emergency medical centers at Terminal 1, ensuring round-the-clock medical support for passengers and airport staff.
Each center will be equipped with emergency care and disaster response facilities. A medical team comprising three doctors, eight nurses, and two drivers will manage each center. All medical staff will be certified in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), ensuring the highest quality of emergency care.
To further strengthen emergency readiness, NMIA will have two fully-equipped ICU ambulances stationed onsite, ready for immediate deployment. Additionally, 65 Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) will be installed throughout the terminal areas to support cardiac emergencies.
Apollo Hospitals Navi Mumbai, located just 4 km from the airport, will serve as the lead center for disaster response and major medical emergencies linked to airport incidents, as per an official statement.

The airport, though yet to commence operations, has also recently brought in the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) to manage security, marking another step closer toward its official launch.
The collaboration aims to create a robust healthcare ecosystem within the airport, ensuring safety and speedy medical intervention for travelers and employees alike.
