Apollo Clinic, a leading multi-specialty clinic chain in India, has unveiled its 'Mother's Month' campaign, dedicated to honoring mothers across the nation. The initiative aims to alleviate the burden of Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) among Indian women by offering a comprehensive Women’s Health Check Package, encompassing over 88 health parameters.

Sushant Kinra, Head of Apollo Clinic, emphasized the pivotal role women and mothers play in Indian households, underlining the paramount importance of their health. He stated, "At Apollo Clinic, we have always prioritized ensuring that every woman leaves our premises happier, healthier, and better informed about their well-being. While Mother’s Day is traditionally celebrated on a single day, we have extended our celebrations throughout the month with this campaign. Our goal is to encourage as many women as possible to benefit from these health checkups and receive expert advice on their health".

Statistics from a study by the Observer Research Foundation (ORF) reveal a concerning prevalence of NCDs among women in India, standing at 62 per 1000 women, significantly higher than that among men (36 per 100 men). The study identifies hypertension as the most common NCD among elderly women, followed by osteoarthritis, diabetes, and bronchial asthma.

In response to these findings, Apollo Clinic has introduced the Women’s Health Check Package this month, tailored to address these health concerns. Women and mothers nationwide can access a range of services under this package, including complete blood count, liver function test, renal profile, lipid profile, X-Ray Chest, ECG, and Dental Screening, among others. Additionally, services such as Pap Smear, Whole Abdomen Ultrasound Screening, and Specialist Consultation are available.

The health check package will be accessible across all Apollo Clinic branches until May 31, 2024. Appointments can be conveniently booked online via the clinic’s website, through a phone call, or by visiting a nearby clinic.

With the 'Mother's Month' campaign, Apollo Clinic reaffirms its commitment to promoting women's health and empowering mothers to prioritize their well-being. By providing comprehensive health checkups and expert consultations, the clinic aims to contribute towards a healthier future for women across India.
