The Adani Group is set to transform India’s healthcare and education landscape with a massive foray into integrated medical campuses and skill development. Chairman Gautam Adani announced the initiative during his address to shareholders, revealing plans to establish two 1,000-bed Adani Health Cities (AHC) in Ahmedabad and Mumbai, in collaboration with the U.S.-based Mayo Clinic.

“Exactly three years ago, on my 60th birthday, my family pledged ₹60,000 crore towards healthcare, education, and skill development. The Adani Healthcare Temples are the first major step”, said Adani, highlighting the vision behind the group’s not-for-profit healthcare arm.

Each AHC will feature a 1,000-bed multi-super-specialty hospital, a medical college with an annual intake of 150 undergraduate students, over 80 residents, and 40 fellows, as well as research and wellness facilities. The Mayo Clinic, renowned for its global expertise, will guide the development of an AI-powered, patient-centric healthcare ecosystem.

The integrated campuses are designed to serve people from all socio-economic backgrounds and will prioritize next-generation medical training and clinical research, including advancements in artificial intelligence and biomedical informatics. The Adani family has committed more than Rs 6,000 crore for the development of the first two health cities.

In parallel, the Group has announced a Rs 2,000 crore investment to establish a world-class skill university and finishing school in Mundra. The aim is to empower youth through specialized Schools of Excellence and global partnerships with institutions such as ITEES Singapore and the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce (IGCC).
