Dr. Pooja Jha Nair, a holistic human healer deep down realized this. Hers is a very struggling story and she learned the hard way to earn knowledge for people service. Dr. Pooja Jha Nair, a mediocre student from a government school in Delhi, today is a Psychology graduate from Daulat Ram College, Delhi University. Being a proper Hindi medium student, with a bare knowledge of English, she faced huge humiliation but her zeal to learn kept her growing and improving.
Though it took her multiple attempts to pursue a Master's in Psychology from the North Campus of Delhi University, her failures gave her a big jolt to succeed, and continuing to try, she did Diploma in Special Education courses then. Later she also enrolled in a Master's in Applied Psychology from South Campus, Delhi University. On getting placed in Sucheta Kriplani Children's Hospital as part of her master’s program, she learned the ground reality of India attending to several children (having a variety of issues) coming from all parts of the country. It was then, she positively came to know what real psychiatric problems are.
While having done the job for two years, her quest was still not completed and wanting to learn more, she got into the first batch of a clinical professional course, M.Phil Rehabilitation Psychology (2004-2006) at National Institute for the Mentally Handicapped - NIMH, Secunderabad, presently named National Institute for the Empowerment of Persons with Intellectual Disabilities (Divyangjan) - NIEPID. Earning the license to practice psychology from Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI), learning about diagnosis, assessment, therapy, rehabilitation and handling all rigorous kinds of work routines, she was keen on learning a lot about learning disabilities.
Her unquenching thirst for exposure and learning of varied and latest practices in the field of learning and education, landed up to take a job of a special educator at DeKalb County, Atlanta, Georgia, for some time. Then it was her interest largely developing in Autism and learning about the disability seriously that bestowed her with American Board Certified Behavior Analyst program (BCBA - a licensed Company Management program of 180 hours). Though prior to this she had obtained her Doctorate in Psychology program from Osmania University, Hyderabad Incorporated in 2019, Total Solution is certainly the answer to her quest.
