Such results show how physiotherapy can deeply impact lives when guided by the right expertise. This is where Physiovruksha stands out, not by simply treating symptoms, but by addressing the root cause. With a holistic, personalized approach, Physiovruksha empowers patients to achieve long-term recovery, peak performance, and sustainable well-being.
Established in early 2024, Physiovruksha was founded with the intention of offering high-quality, exercise-based physiotherapy rooted in clinical precision and patient focused care. The idea emerged when Dr Arjun V and Dr Akshay Kowshik N, while working in hospital settings, found themselves limited by time constraints and systemic challenges that prevented them from giving patients the attention they truly needed.
Faced with high patient volumes and restricted treatment windows, they felt the quality of care was often compromised. Motivated by a shared belief that physiotherapy should go beyond quick fixes and truly support long-term recovery, they decided to open their own clinic, helping individuals overcome challenges, achieve fitness goals, and lead a pain-free, active life.
Unlike many clinics that rely heavily on passive modalities, Physiovruksha takes a more active approach. Every patient is evaluated through a detailed assessment and differential diagnosis, allowing the team to create customized treatment plans that respond to each person’s unique condition. The focus is always on restoring movement, promoting recovery through guided exercise, and ensuring that each patient experiences long term benefits and sustainable results.
Treatment for All Needs
Physiovruksha offers a wide range of treatments designed to meet the needs of individuals across age groups and activity levels. While sports injuries involve specific patterns and recovery needs, similar conditions can also occur in non-athletes due to lifestyle factors or accidental strain. The clinic provides focused care by combining clinical expertise with functional training.
Treatment at Physiovruksha primarily centers around exercise therapy, manual therapy, and dry needling. The team also supports recovery through sports rehabilitation, orthopaedic and musculoskeletal rehab, geriatric rehab, stroke and Parkinson’s rehab, and pre- and post-surgical physiotherapy.
Additional services like strength and conditioning, sports recovery, and fire cupping are also offered. Conditions
commonly treated include cervical spondylosis, disc prolapse, knee and ankle injuries, shoulder pain, tennis elbow, plantar fasciitis, facial palsy, foot drop, and more.
Recovery is a Two-Way Process
At Physiovruksha, the process begins with a thorough initial assessment, where patient’s condition and needs are understood. This first step lays the foundation for designing a treatment plan that aligns with each individual’s goals, whether it’s returning to sport, managing chronic pain, or improving mobility. What sets the clinic apart is its collaborative model, every case is discussed among the core team, including Dr Akshay, Dr Arjun, and their support staff. After each consultation, the team reviews the patient’s progress, adjusts exercises where needed, and plans the next steps to enhance outcomes.
Follow-up is an ongoing process, typically reviewed after a month to track progress and make necessary adjustments. However, as Dr Akshay explains, recovery is a shared responsibility. While the team provides the right guidance and treatment, the patient’s own willingness to improve plays an equally important role in achieving long-term success.
One such example is a patient who had undergone meniscus and patellar cartilage repair and spent three months in passive treatment at another clinic without any progress. She was unable to perform even a basic straight leg raise due to quadriceps inhibition. After starting treatment at Physiovruksha just two weeks ago, and following a structured exercise-only rehabilitation plan, she has now regained control and can perform ten repetitions of straight leg raises on her own. This kind of transformation shows what becomes possible when the right care meets patient effort.
Stand on In-Person Care
At Physiovruksha, all consultations and treatments are conducted in person. The team strongly believes that physiotherapy requires face-to-face interaction to ensure accurate assessment and effective care. “Virtual consultations can miss critical physical cues that are only observable during an in-person evaluation”, says Dr Arjun V, Physiotherapist, Physiovruksha. While social media platforms like Instagram have helped spread awareness and connect people with the clinic, actual treatment always happens offline, he adds.
Bridging the Awareness Gap
One of the biggest challenges in physiotherapy today is the lack of awareness among the general public about what physiotherapy truly involves. Many patients are referred by orthopedicians or neurologists with prescriptions for short term treatments, such as ten days of ultrasound or other passive modalities. According to Dr. Akshay, this approach addresses only the symptom of pain rather than the root cause of the injury. Pain is just a signal, not the actual problem. Years of reliance on passive treatments have created the false belief that quick fixes are possible and that recovery can be achieved in just a few days.
At Physiovruksha, the focus is on changing this mindset. The team takes time to educate each patient about their condition, the recovery process, and the importance of exercise-based therapy in achieving long term improvement. By helping patients understand their bodies and how healing truly works, Physiovruksha empowers them to actively participate in their recovery and achieve better outcomes.
Moving Forward with Purpose
While physiotherapy innovations are advancing rapidly, Dr Arjun notes that their high cost often makes them difficult to implement in routine care, especially in India. “To bring in advanced innovation, we must invest, and those costs inevitably get passed on to patients”, he explains. As a result, many of these technologies remain out of reach for the average person. Despite these challenges, Physiovruksha remains open to adopting meaningful innovations when they are both effective and practical.
In addition, Physiovruksha is focused on expanding into new branches and growing its team, welcoming passionate and hardworking therapists who are genuinely committed to helping people heal.
