He later worked with Dr. Surya Bhan at Primus Hospital, one of the pioneer institutes for joint replacement surgeries in North India, performing 1,500 to 2,000 joint replacements annually and implementing advanced technologies. Continuing his focus on joint replacement, he also pursued further fellowships in Germany, specializing in revision joint replacement and complex knee replacements, and trained in robotic knee replacement in Singapore.
Currently, Dr. Deepak Thakur is a Senior Consultant at Moolchand Hospital, New Delhi running the knee and joint replacement department and performing robotic surgeries.
