Born into a middle-class Marathi family in Mumbai, Dr. Anand is now a well-known Ophthalmologist in Pune. He completed his MBBS in 1997 and MS (Ophthalmology) in 2001 from Mahatma Gandhi Institute Of Medical Sciences, Sewagram (MGIMS). During his studies, he has also participated in research work and various workshops under the Opthalmology department and published many papers. Additionally, he has also received FMRF fellowship from the prestigious Shankara Netralaya in Chennai and later FAEH. He is also an active member of the Maharashtra Ophthalmological Society

(MOS). Over his 27-year career, working as an Ophthalmologist in various cities across India, he has successfully managed numerous complex medical cases in different hospitals.

He currently serves as a Consultant Ophthalmologist at Apollo Group’s Jehangir Hospital and Sahyadri Hospital, and is a member of the Advisory Board of Ruby Hall Clinic. His distinguished career in Ophthalmology is adorned with several awards, including the National Excellence Award in 2017 for his contributions to the field. He has also been honored with the Times of India Icon Award for Best Ophthalmologist in the Pune region, among other accolades. Dr. Anand has presented numerous research dissertations at both national and international medical conferences, many of which have been published in prestigious ophthalmology journals.
