Noida Special Economic Zone Authority (NSEZ) organized a breast cancer screening and a Heart Health Camp to provide important healthcare services to marginalized workers in the Noida Special Economic Zone. The IDEMIA India Foundation provided funding for the camp.
The Breast Cancer Camp and Heart Health Camp had a tremendous response, with over 1000 workers from the Noida Special Economic Zone taking use of the much-needed healthcare services. The primary goal of arranging these camps was to meet the healthcare requirements of those persons whose well-being frequently takes second place due to inadequate access to resources. Recognizing the critical need for healthcare access in such places, the IDEMIA India Foundation and NSEZ took aggressive initiatives to close the gap.
The vital check-up was performed in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, often known as 'Pink October', by highly qualified doctors from the prestigious Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Research Institute and CanSupport. PAP Smear Test for Cervical Cancer Screening, Clinical Breast Examination, Clinical Oral Examination, Blood Pressure, and Blood Sugar were among the complete examinations provided throughout the camp. Also, for cases requiring more research, Mammograms and consultation with senior medical professionals were easily available.
The heart health camp provided a variety of important health evaluations, including blood pressure, ECG, blood sugar testing, and other heart and general health assessments. Many of the guests were obtaining professional healthcare treatments for the first time. As a result, both minor and major health issues were found and handled. These therapies have the potential to save lives by preventing these conditions from developing.
Speaking on this, Bipin Menon, Development Commissioner, Noida Special Economic Zone, said, "Organising health camps is not just a noble endeavor, but a vital one in promoting the well-being and holistic development of our society. By offering resources and expertise, we can make a significant impact on the health and lives of our workers, and this is a testament to the genuine concern we hold for the welfare of our marginalized workforce, including women. We commend the initiative taken by IDEMIA in collaborating with Noida SEZ to foster a healthy, vibrant, and productive community".
"We believe it's important to #MakeAnIMPACT in the communities where we operate", said Matthew Foxton, IDEMIA India Regional Head. IDEMIA is proud of its contribution to the development of a healthier and more inclusive community. Special appreciation to the IDEMIA India team for their effort, as well as NSEZ Commissioners Bipin Menon and Surender Malik for their constant encouragement and support in advancing such projects.
