Aster DM Healthcare unveiled a substantial Rs 250 crore expansion blueprint for its Aster CMI Hospital in Bengaluru, underlining its commitment to bolstering healthcare infrastructure in India. The Bengaluru-based multispecialty hospital is poised for a notable expansion, with an additional infrastructure spread spanning 300,000 square feet. This initiative aims to elevate the hospital's bed capacity from the existing 500 beds to 850, enhancing its capability to cater to the growing healthcare needs of the region.

Dr. Azad Moopen, Founder Chairman of Aster DM Healthcare, expressed confidence in the burgeoning Indian healthcare market, emphasizing the organization's dynamic approach to expanding its presence in the country. The expansion of Aster CMI Hospital underscores Aster DM Healthcare's steadfast dedication to its Indian operations.

Highlighting the company's robust financial performance, Dr. Moopen noted that the overall India business EBITDA for Aster DM Healthcare has exhibited a remarkable growth rate of 35 per cent CAGR over the past five years, indicative of the company's strong performance in terms of EBITDA margin.

Looking ahead, Aster DM Healthcare aims to augment its total bed capacity in Indian hospitals to over 6,600 beds by the fiscal year 2027. This ambitious goal encompasses various initiatives, including the establishment of Aster Capital in Trivandrum and Aster MIMS Kasargod, as well as augmenting bed capacity in existing hospitals. The company also eyes expansion into new markets such as Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh.

The capital earmarked for this extensive expansion endeavor amounts to approximately Rs 1,000 crore, underscoring the company's significant investment in fortifying healthcare infrastructure and services across India. With these strategic initiatives, Aster DM Healthcare reaffirms its commitment to providing high-quality healthcare services and contributing to the overall advancement of the healthcare sector in the country.
