Aster DM Healthcare opens a 506-bed multi-specialty hospital in Whitefield

Aster DM Healthcare has announced the expansion of its Aster Whitefield Hospital, transforming it into a cutting-edge multi-super-specialty facility located in the heart of Whitefield, Bengaluru. The state-of-the-art hospital, with 506 beds, is set to revolutionize healthcare in the region by offering comprehensive and specialized medical services. The Whitefield Hospital will be the third multi-specialty hospital of Aster in Bengaluru and the 19th hospital across India. The hospital was inaugurated by Chief Guest Dinesh Gundu Rao, Minister for Health and Family Welfare, and Guest of Honour UT Khader, Speaker, Karnataka Legislative Assembly. Sharanprakash R Patil, Minister for Medical Education, Government of Karnataka, was also present at the event along with Dr Azad Moopen, Founder Chairman and Managing Director, Aster DM Healthcare.

The new hospital in Whitefield Township will provide healthcare services to meet the diverse needs of the community. Patients will receive a first-class experience with the help of highly skilled and globally trained doctors and support staff. The hospital will prioritize exceptional patient care and medical outcomes in various areas of specialization, including oncology, cardiac sciences, neurosciences, gastroenterology, integrated liver care, multiorgan transplantation, urology & nephrology, advanced robotics, laparoscopic and conventional surgeries, orthopedics, women’s health, and child adolescent health.

The hospital will also offer intraoperative electron radiation therapy (IOERT) for precision cancer treatment., a hybrid biplane cath lab, 3D mammogram, digital PET CT, advanced LINAC, HIPEC/PIPEC procedures, full-room digital radiography, and a scalp cooling system to prevent hair loss during chemotherapy. It will have a state-of-the-art OT complex with 16 operating theaters equipped with high-end medical equipment. The hospital will also feature the 4th generation Da Vinci Robot for advanced surgeries in oncology and urology.
