The need for technology in delivering healthcare services has always been huge in India due to a spectrum of factors. These factors include right from density of doctors being one per 1000, urban areas having four times the medical practitioners present in rural areas, to the qualified doctors constituting only 19 percent in rural while it is 58 percent in urban.
