The need for technology in delivering healthcare services has always been huge in India due to a spectrum of factors. These factors include right from density of doctors being one per 1000, urban areas having four times the medical practitioners present in rural areas, to the qualified doctors constituting only 19 percent in rural while it is 58 percent in urban. Hence, the healthcare sector in India has lately been witnessing a huge convergence of technological solutions with cloud, telecom, wireless networks, data analytics and other technologies. This convergence can not only accelerate the entire process of healthcare delivery to patients, but also enhance its accessibility, efficiency and cost effectiveness, thus making the patient experience phenomenal.
