Standing tall as the flag bearer of India’s hair transplant vertical is Dr. Manan Mehta, the Managing Director & Sr. Consultant - Dermatology, Avya Skin Clinic. Having completed his MBBS from Bharati Vidyapeeth University, Pune, Dr. Manan then started working in the dermatology department of a government hospital for three years. Later in 2015, with the desire to acquire more knowledge in the field, he took-up his MD in Dermatology, Venereology & Leprosy from Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education Research in Chennai, post which he joined Medanta Hospital where he garnered a lot of experience in treating both clinical and cosmetology patients. This vast experience gave him the much needed confidence to lay the foundation stone for his own clinic named Avya Skin Clinic in 2022 with a vision to become the most innovative and sought after clinics for clinical and cosmetology treatments procedures PAN India.
“I was always intrigued by the dermatology subject right from the initial days of my medical education and thus chose it as my specialization in MD. During this course of time, I realized the humongous scope cosmetology had and attended numerous seminars and workshops on hair transplant, botox fillers and similar other areas. Adding on, I also hold a Master’s degree in Hair Transplant & Restoration Management from the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine, which is one of the most reputed institutions in the field of cosmetology today. Through Avya, I want to provide personalized skin and hair treatments to patients at affordable rates”, says Dr.Manan.

Stressing upon the importance of post-transplant care, Dr. Manan says, “Irrespective of how successful the hair transplant procedure has been, it is extremely important for the patients to take the necessary post-surgical care. This includes at least seven days of bed rest and not involve in any strenuous physical activities such as gymming, swimming and running as that can dislodge the graft. Also, patients must strictly avoid lifestyle habits such as smoking and alcohol consumption at least for a week. Most importantly, they must make sure to apply antiseptic creams that we prescribe them onto the implant area at regular intervals. Additionally, drinking milk regularly and including ample quantities of fruits & salads in their daily food intake act as a catalyst for hair growth and well-being of skin”.
