Dr Nikita Mathur: Empowering Recovery & Wellness Through Personalized and Holistic Physiotherapy

Separator

Once seen as a pit stop for pain relief, physiotherapy clinics have transformed into vibrant wellness hubs where science meets movement and recovery fuels resilience. With WHO reporting that over 70 percent of musculoskeletal issues can be managed through physiotherapy, these clinics are now frontline defenders against chronic pain, surgery, and inactivity. Whether it’s helping a marathoner reclaim stride or guiding a new mom through postpartum recovery, today’s physio clinics are rewriting the story of healing, one stretch, one step, and one powered patient at a time.

Founded by Dr Nikita Mathur, Me More Physiotherapy is a comprehensive wellness and rehabilitation practice offering personalized, patient-centered care. As the founder of the holistic wellness brand Me More Physiotherapy, Dr Nikita integrates years of clinical expertise with a progressive approach to recovery and f itness. Her services range from chronic pain therapy, injury screening, and prehabilitation to pre-surgical and post-surgical rehabilitation, prenatal and postpartum f itness, and long-term wellness planning. With a keen focus on individualized care, Dr Nikita works with a wide spectrum of patients, from athletes aiming for peak performance to seniors working to regain mobility and new mothers navigating postnatal recovery. Each treatment plan is carefully tailored to the patient’s goals, lifestyle, and current condition. She collaborates with massage therapists, fitness trainers, and recovery specialists to provide a seamless continuum of care, ensuring a smooth transition from healing to progressive strength and mobility.

“Physiotherapy today is so much more than injury rehab, and I see that every day in my practice. I am often referred complex cases by top doctors and surgeons, whether it’s Sports injuries, Joint replacement procedures, or respiratory rehabilitation post-surgery”, she asserts.

What differentiates Dr Nikita from many in her field is her approach to holistic and evidence-based physiotherapy care. With a master’s degree from the UK, she has cultivated a practice deeply rooted in the latest global research and clinical guidelines. Her approach goes far beyond standard rehabilitation, she believes that healing is only the first step. She offers guidance, such as adapting living spaces or teaching safe movement techniques, and ensures practical and effective rehabilitation beyond the clinic. She also conducts community workshops and offers tele-rehabilitation services to clients across India, the UK, Australia, and beyond.

I strive to be a long-term wellness partner, supporting each patient beyond recovery, as they build a life rooted in strength, balance, and confidence in their bodies

Tailoring Care for Every Age & Body

Dr Nikita places great emphasis on individualized care, recognizing that every person’s body, lifestyle, and goals are unique. Her physiotherapy approach begins with an in-depth consultation session, where she thoroughly assesses a patient’s medical history, current activity levels, and personal goals. Through mutual goal setting and physical screening, she creates a personalized treatment plan that aligns with each patient’s capabilities and desired outcomes. For children and young athletes, Dr Nikita conducts sport-specific injury screening protocols, tailored to the demands of their discipline, be it swimming, football, or squash. These detailed assessments include tests for flexibility, strength, and endurance, enabling her to identify limitations and areas for improvement before designing a customized training and rehabilitation plan.

In contrast, her approach with elderly patients focuses on core parameters such as strength, flexibility, balance, lung capacity, and endurance. Given the importance of mobility and independence in older adults, balance assessments are a key focus, with progress tracked through objective measures in regular follow-ups. This evidence-based, goal-driven approach allows her to deliver physiotherapy that not only heals but enhances long-term well-being.

 Integrating Technology for Data-Driven Physiotherapy

Dr Nikita not only enhances the effectiveness of her treatments but also empowers her patients to engage actively in their own recovery and fitness progress by embracing technology. She is a strong advocate for integrating modern technology into physiotherapy, viewing tools like wearable devices and AI-powered analytics as valuable allies in patient care. Her evidence based approach extends beyond clinical assessments to include real-time data from wearables that track metrics such as running pace, endurance, and biomechanical efficiency. “This data plays a crucial role in customizing treatment protocols, whether it’s enhancing a runner’s speed, increasing pain-free distance, or correcting faulty biomechanics. I also leverage movement analysis tools to assess progress and adjust rehabilitation plans with precision”, she adds. These technological insights enable her to provide highly targeted and responsive care, ensuring each patient’s recovery journey is grounded in measurable outcomes.

Expanding Horizons

Dr Nikita envisions a future where physiotherapy goes beyond injury rehabilitation and becomes an integral part of long-term wellness. Currently, she is actively expanding her services in two key areas including prenatal and postpartum physiotherapy, and community-focused tele rehabilitation. With a growing demand for accessible care, she has introduced virtual consultations and interactive group workshops covering active recovery, postpartum f itness, and self-care techniques that individuals can practice at home. Her initiative also includes targeted workshops for specific communities such as corporate professionals facing postural challenges and teenagers dealing with digital-age musculoskeletal issues. A soon-to-be-launched workshop will focus on postural correction for teens, addressing the impact of mobile use and heavy school backpacks.

Looking ahead, Dr Nikita’s broader goal is to bridge the gap between traditional rehabilitation and long term wellness. Her practice is evolving to not only treat injuries but also support clients in sustaining fitness, strength, and mobility over time. “I strive to be a long-term wellness partner, supporting each patient beyond recovery, as they build a life rooted in strength, balance, and renewed confidence in their bodies”, concludes Dr Nikita.
